A Break in my Vision

This is not goodbye
Just a break in my vision
I know you could see me when I walked in the room
Sometimes I think that you were taken too soon.
You were my life source, and not only for that, I love you
All that you have done, my love will continue.
It was your little finger I held when we hit the floor to dance
DAD, I thank you for giving me this life chance.
You bought me my first bike, and taught me how to fish,
Rest peacefully my Daddy, is my only wish.
You saved me from my venture, and brought me home
I knew then, that I wasn’t alone.
Your vision is still there, and today, we are all in your sight,
I’ve missed you since before you went towards the light.
This is not goodbye
Just a break in my vision
You are gone forever, but not forgotten
This is the final decision.
I will continue to catch the odd blowfish in your honour Dad,
And the swap meet awaits me on Sunday mornings,
and you know… they’re still not bad.
I love you DADDY and I will see you again, until then rest easy.
You are where you will always need to be, and that’s in my heart forever.
