A Choice

A Choice

I read something in a book not long ago;
ā€˜ā€™Happiness is not by chance, but by choiceā€™ā€™.

Yet letting myself be happy is like wading through snow.
It feels like a conversation in which I have no voice.

My happiness exists behind locks with no keys.
Sometimes it makes an escape in my dreams.

Until itā€™s released, Iā€™ll be over here begging, please.
Please help me free my happiness by any means.
