A Choice

A Choice

I read something in a book not long ago;
‘’Happiness is not by chance, but by choice’’.

Yet letting myself be happy is like wading through snow.
It feels like a conversation in which I have no voice.

My happiness exists behind locks with no keys.
Sometimes it makes an escape in my dreams.

Until it’s released, I’ll be over here begging, please.
Please help me free my happiness by any means.
