Scarlet

Scarlet

Scarlet blood in my veins.
Flowing as red as a life in flames.

Yet stuck there; like a mind in chains.

Then, at last, it's freedom it reclaims.

Scarlet blood on my skin.

Spilling out from far within.

Delicate wounds like strings on a violin.

Is it me, or did the room begin to spin?

Scarlet blood staining the ground.

So much red flowing all around.

Head way up in the clouds.

Despite it; I am sure to drown.
