A Cold Effect

The signs that come
when you have a cold
a throat sore and hoarse
gargling works you are told

But it’s such an awful effort
when your nose is running too
your bones ache all over
you feel life is so blue

But hope is round the corner
for it can’t last for long
taking hot drinks and lemsip
soon you’ll sing a song

In months to come
you’ll look back with glee
feeling good and looking better
