A COWBOY FROM PRESTON

A COWBOY FROM PRESTON

Have you heard of the cowboy from Preston
He wore a checked shirt and a very big stetson
The horse he rode was a light dapple grey
Plenty of chuckles up north came his way

Stewart Rogers was this cowboy's name
No Indians for him to fight such a terrible shame
I saw Stewart in a pub one summer's day
Of course it was a saloon Stewart would say

Not many men wear guns attached to their waist
For Stewart in Preston it was his preferred taste
Should you see Stewart make sure you say hi
A cowboy from Preston you really have to wonder why
