A day In The Life Of My Daughter

The beginning of the day, sees the first rays of light,
Penetrating, searing, through the old gum trees might,
The sun is so warming, and the sky today is blue,
It's time for the animals, this was their waking cue.
The birds are all singing, with their first morning chat,
Indiana checks outside, to see where the King Parrot is at,
She watched yesterday, her daddy moved the bird seed,
And now twice daily he would come in for a feed.
Morning time TV whilst our breakfast is eaten,
A cereal of her choice, sultana buds can't be beaten,
She role plays with Barbies, and her daddy always joins in,
A quick game with Disney princesses, she is Rapunzel and he is Flynn.
At ten o'clock time for thongs, and out to check the mail,
Count the number of marsupials, the ones with the thick tail,
Kangaroos in the front yard, they lie there in the shade,
She asks curly questions, like how the little joeys are made.
Outside for badminton, and soccer before it gets too hot,
Then inside for hide and seek, I'm coming ready or not,
It's time for some lunch, Vegemite sandwich cut in a triangle,
And a question about male roos, what are those thing there that dangle.
After lunch definitely, it's time for a swim in the pool,
To beat our summer heat have fun whilst getting cool,
Whilst she is wet, she makes footprints on the ground,
Then daddy to the back freezer, icy poles all round.
It's time for a rest and grab some afternoon tea,
A chance for daddy to get a nice strong coffee,
Then onto the next game jigsaw puzzle or play doh,
Or painting or colouring in, of some characters we know.
Mummy comes home, and it's time for some dinner,
With all my running around, I'm surprised I'm not thinner,
Bath then a story, now lay down your weary head,
After ten minutes of questions, it's now time for bed.

There are some questions you try to dodge sparrowsong, but apparently my wife told her straight up, "BALLS" i think the term was used, hehe
Thanks Cherie, you should come and visit Australia, i relly do have kangaroos in my front (and backyard) for that matter, they are wild so we dont approach them
