A day to remember

They were taught to fight by the freedom of speech,
On the sandy seafront of Omaha Beach,
Remember and respect all those lost on D-day,
No one need ask qu'est -ce que c'est?

As a veteran of the US Marine Corps I should already know.
There are very few men and women left alive from the Greatest Generation.
They are to be respected and commended for their unselfish sacrifices.
