A Forever Season.

A Forever Season.

A Forever Season.
Lee.

I can only watch as the end of autumn fritters away:
Decorative trees, balding,
Balmy afternoons, cooling,
Orange evenings, paling,
Nighttime walks, waning.
Winter has never felt so close.
I never paused to rejuvenate in spring,
Neither did the summer’s shine, warm.
It’s now that I watch the season fraying at its seams, that I think:

Is this it? Is this all there is?
