Poem -

A Fostered Heart

Day to day I fight a battle in my bones
I try my hardest to not throw stones
My heart moans

My voice screams
But I am trying to live a dream
That sometimes is too extreme

My body aches
It shakes
Sometimes I feel like I need breaks

Breaks aren’t enough
I try so hard to be tough
But eventually someone will call me on my bluff
Life is rough

Good things come to those who wait
It might be fate

Im not perfect
I was hand picked
And tricked to be wrecked

I was neglected
And now my body is infected
