A Girl’s Best Friend
It was a day I’ll always remember
A day filled with regret
The day I had to give up
My one and only pet

A day filled with sadness
Full of much sorrow
Oh my sweet little Zozo,
I guess there will be no tomorrow
Â
Have you ever felt the pain
Of giving up something you love?
The pain you’ll have to bear with
The pain you can’t get rid of?
Â
Have you ever known the anger
The one you just can’t control?
The anger that makes you feel like
You’ve given up on everything as a whole?
Â
It was a day I’ll always remember
A day I couldn’t comprehend
A day filled with tears
Because of the loss of a girl’s best friend

Lovely - Â brought up feelings of a dog taken away by my parents after it pooed on the couch and then bit me.BUT is Zozo a dog? Â That is the beauty of the poem for me. Â Perhaps Zozo was an iguana.....or an engagment ring? Â Â You do mention a girls best friend......which I thought was bling-bling.
