Lacey

Lacey

It is late at night
The young girl is fast asleep.
Boom!
She wakes up as a result of the fright.
Ā
She sits up from her position
Confused and Scared.
Bang!
The branches outside her window blare.
Ā
Relieved that there is nothing there,
She attempted to go back to sleep,
for it is only fair.
Ā
Screech!
SheĀ is awakenedĀ once more,
But this time,
The sound has come from her closet door.
Ā
Plop!
Something has fallen off the shelf,
The poor girl is too stunned
To call for help.
Ā
Giggle!
Something is at the foot of the bed
The girl is shocked and panicking,
For she is experiencing something we all dread.
Ā
Slish!
The creature is coming towards her
Thud!
EachĀ sound is becoming louder.
Ā
Lub Dub!
Goes the girl racing heart
She wants to look down,
But she knows itā€™s not smart.
Ā
Growl!
The curiosity takes over
She looks down,
Hoping that the creature will spare her.
Ā
Whoosh!
Lacey disappears with a flash of light,
Itā€™s so sad no one will ever know
What happened that night.
