"A God of Showing!"

"Life had a way of breaking me down,
especially when no one else was around,
so I finally drank myself sober.
Jesus You and I both know,
my head was thick,
and the urge to run and hide,
man it was quick,
but I ditched that left handed path,
because there is no reason,
nor any math,
for miring myself down,
in that quicksand bog of that path,
and now I choose to staunch the wick,
of my candle slow,
that is my life,
and I feel as though I'm glowing,
because I put my faith and trust,
in a God that is showing me and in me!

He helps guide and light the way,
and filters recovery and life,
through every word that I say!

So come what will,
come what may,
what I can't control,
in that instance I pray,
so that I can stay,
sober and clean,
just for today!"
