A Good Story

A story is a good story if when the reader reads the book they are that engrossed in the words they canât take their eyes off the page to socialise or look
One is lost in lovely literature and living the writerâs dream
Sat in their complete comfort like the cat thats got itâs cream
Stirring oneâs supposition and enciting their imagery
from this novelistâs notions of mental agility
An awareness of artistry
Conceptions and creations
Ingenuity of fanciful and realizations
As the bibliomaniac
scans word by wordÂ
Feeding his thoughtsÂ
with what heâs heard
Though the reader has never actually talked to the writer before
One has crept inside the mind of this marvelous mentor
He has gained self satisfactionÂ
through his eyes on a page
A learning of lettersÂ
with a wisdom of sage
A composition of prose on paper
entertained and amused
Sat in splenderous, sublime caper
beautifully bemused

Jillian,Â
I LOVED that! I'm a huge reader(not huge, like I'm over-sized, but I read a ton of books), and you're so spot on with all of your observations. Beautifully penned.Â
Matthew.Â
Awww Thanks Matthew me great mate â¤ď¸?â¤ď¸
You're the first mate, Jilligan, I'm The Skipper. (Gilligan's Island reference. Do you know that show? Good show. Every week the plot was the same. Loved it). M.Â
Teehee u r a âď¸
PS. Jillian, you have more followers than me now.Â
I'm not mad, just enraged. I pay people good money to follow me, and yet some of them just take it, and say 'man, I can't follow you, you stink!' Do you think that's right? One guy that I paid started following me around the streets and stuff, and I said 'no! follow me on Cosmo!' And he said, 'but your poetry reminds me of some festering boils, aggravated by a hemherroidal flare up!' I took that as a compliment. Do you think I was right to do so? He's still not following me. Dang. M.Â
Haha I never notice followers just my good friends like you xxx?â¤ď¸?â¤ď¸
Well, I notice such things, and I think maybe soon I'll have a negative number there! LOL.Â
Fun Fact: Sometimes I wear metal pants, and although they're very comfortable, they are exceedingly hard to walk in. Do you wear them? They're made by a company called Metalpants. Once I deflected a bullet with them. I thought you might like to know that. Thanks.Â
M.Â
Haha such an inventive mind u have xxx?â¤ď¸?â¤ď¸
There is nothing better than to be engrossed in a book. I love stories.Â
I find that when I am reading I also analyse the writers style. What type of voice they use. How did they introduce the characters. How did they get us to read between the lines (I love reading between the lines...so much is said there) I just cant help it.
Great poem x
