A GREAT DIVIDE

A GREAT DIVIDE

All I wanted was to love you
To be at your beck and call
Like the darkness that cries night
And the stars that never falls

All I wanted was to hold you
Like the sky holds the clouds
High above the waves of the seas
Gentle to the touch
And soft as the kisses of love

All I wanted was to see you
Every night and day
Like the brightness of the sunshine
That never fades away

All I wanted was for you to love me
If only for a minute or two
But my wants will never become a reality
Because someone has become a divide
Between me and you.

Wilford Barker.

Hey Sir BARKER!!......this has some VERY original phrasing in it......seriously unique ~

~"Like the sky holds the clouds... " ~

~ "And soft as the kisses of love..." ~

It was a surprise to read those closing lines....and sad too.....I'm praying that this is a fiction....but hey, you've got to experience the disappointments some times in order to appreciate the real thing when it comes!!.....ALL STARS!!.....ever the pleasure my friend!!.....LOVE & ROCKETS!!.....T xo  : )
