A Hard Road to Healing!

Through the blackest fog a path emerged
and moving with disconnected feet
fighting a creeping paralysis
where mind and body wouldn't meet
Ahead a winding road to Sanity city
falling and crawling through ashes
of mind's suffering cremated 
breathing suffocating air of fear
with lungs anxiety inflated
A sapping rain landed upon a shrivelled ego
mixing with cold sweat of phobic 
thoughts in full flow
A menacing stalker of madness
hid behind trees of counselling given
taken desperately for hopeful please
Psychosis extinguished at psychotic thought lit
with a corrective Doctor's chemical pill hit
Still the rocky road meandered on
needing to dig deep for strength
as lingering despair a companion along
Grasping all fleeting positive thinking
tentatively gazed on a recovery light blinking
A journey to endure of pain and time
a mind slow to hope and heal
lift from a depressive sickness 
and once again joy to feel
Then to keep walking to a better day
the road hard and sometimes long
but endurance and patience to pay
and to healing town there did stay
with a happier hat this time to lay

Along time ago I walked this road but today
I am a stronger and happier person for it.
