A life

He will only live six months said the hospital team
Parents dream now a nightmare it would seem
the medical team all those years past 61 yrs on 
spina bifida to cope with the given task home tuition 
then offered special schooling no remission
the advice to my mum what a choice 
school a struggle felt i had no voice
lots  of hospital to begin up to my teens 
lots of ops,pain,saying goodbyes bad dreams
now married 30 yrs a home and a son 
lives had its struggles but ive fought and won
predudices ignorance faced and defeated 
hope this inspires those being meted 
with adversity to overcome and succeed 
reading these words and sowing that seed
