Fatherhood

83 emotionally bereft the words “i love you”rare
Ive been the polar opposite to show my son i care
A father flawed insecure hope the chain ive broke
His father before a tyrant ive heard a nasty bloke
Adopted at five months grown,stands tall at 24
Proud to this day to call my boy my son for sure
Wary not to make the same parenthood mistake
We make a set of new ones its our accepted fate
Far from an easy job we falter and fail
But with the best intentions fatherhood ill nail
