Staying alive

Sitting in the car on a hot summers day
Towels catch the sweat as you bake away
The only way to lose that fluid intake
On dialysis cant catch a break
You,ve overdone your weekend allowance
A cup of liquid a day bodies tolerance
Continual thirst is all you can think
So of course you need to drink
Doctors berating "you need to stop"
Your heart cant take it you,ll drop
With potassium overload to add to the mix
This is just something you must fix
Their words fell onto deaf ears id tune out
I knew the risks i had no doubts
Was i secretly wishing for an end thereabouts
It was a trial every other day that i know
But a transplant saved me and to this day
To some guys altruism i just have to say
