A Lioness's Battle!

A Lioness's Battle!

In a Winter's cruel clutch
I walk and wince
A freeze clingsΒ
to my fingers iced
and toes numb
in black frost bite
with each took step
to death is diced
Each painful inhale
a battle to win
My mind in dull fadingΒ
Will to nature I down die?
Still as a Lioness I continue
maternal flame ignites
my car crashed off a beaten track
with inside my small boy to cry
Time knows no meaning
Is it hours or days?
In the distant oasis a lightΒ
My lungs breathe to scream
while my voice as no air
A man shouts and runs
I collapse with my last hope burning bright
