A Listening Ear

wish I could focus my sadness and make It a cheer

If I could time travel id go back a few years

i wasn't scared of anything turns out my emotions I fear

If my life had a steering wheel Id still struggle to steer

My children ive gotta leave soon priceless treasures I love dear

Eyes always water cant see a future if my gems not near

Try to block it out with life damaging things like beer

I need a shoulder to cry on or a ear that would listen

My body is here but my heart has gone missing

If my trust was my nerves I would not be able to stop flinching

my whole lifes in a mess and it needs some help rebuilding

The Crying Man
