A listening ear

A listening ear

He is unloved and unwanted with every reason to be sad coz his step sister is worshipped yet she shares the same Dad
What a sickening shame for this torn apart twosome, the devision thru seperation is really quite gruesome
As he struggles to survive with his mental depression his Mother’s
love for his step sister leaves a green-eyed monster’s impression

Was he not meant to be born ? Did they not want a son ? If only he had some loving attention from someone
As he sits all alone in solitary confinement his step sister shares splendour in his parents refinement
There cannot be no future for this poor pitiful lad, he was birthed out of wedlock when a courtship turned bad
In and out of foster homes almost two decades later his kinship treats him as dirt under their shoes, just like a traitor

But he needs some stability, somebody’s love as he reads thru a bible and searches above
Yet no solace he finds from this old dusty book as he slumps on the church pew reading gobbledygook
So he decides to confess in a confessional booth and as he listens to his parish priest his calm answers do sooth
This man of the cloth was a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on in his moments of fear
