A LONG WALK HOME

As the sun dipped below the horizon,
I began my long walk home.
The road stretched out before me,
A ribbon of possibilities.
With each step, my mind wandered to the future.
Could I be the artist my heart yearned to be,
Or would practicality lead me down a different path?
The cool evening breeze whispered of freedom and change,
And I pondered the choices that lay ahead.
Dreams of vibrant canvases battled with the security of a steady job.
This walk was more than a journey home;
It was a walk through my aspirations,
A silent conversation with my yet-to-be-decided destiny.
The twilight air carried my whispered questions as I walked.
"Am I brave enough to chase the dreams that dance in my mind?
Will the canvas of my future be painted with bold strokes or cautious lines?"
Doubt and hope tangled within me,
Each step a question mark.
"What if I fail?" I asked the stars.
Yet, with every stride, a stronger voice emerged,
"But what if I soar?"
The path home was long, but it was mine to shape,
With questions as my companions and the unknown as my guide.
A contemplative journey, not just of miles,
But of self-discovery and courage.
