A Love Lost

Of God & Love

A Love Lost

You were mine
To claim,
In times foretold.

To me.Ā
A shadow,
N’er to its flame.

You cast meĀ
Deeply. ā€˜neath
Thy fiery chin.

In fleshly pose,
Departed—
From your warmth.

What a deserted
Sanctuary, to find?
Would you say,
Not so?Ā

In your visage,
I can no longer
—Remain.

For you’ve,
Bested me.
That’s for sure!

Unto your justfulĀ
Mercy. I shall be found.

Ā
