Poem -

a love poem

Hark! The golden morn doth break, and in the east
The sky doth paint a canvas fair, its hue
Inviting lovers to step forth and taste
The sweetness of the air, the dew.

Our souls entwined as surely as the vine
Around the elm, our love doth blossom forth
In fields where poppies dance in line
And butterflies flit carefree of worth
and valleys echo with delight
As we two wander hand in hand, our steps
In time with nature's symphony, so bright
It doth cast shadows on our hearts,
alas.

And when the sun doth set, and stars
Do twinkle in the sky above, our hearts
Still sing a song only we can tune,
A melody of love that knows no end.
