Poem -

The boy I was, the man I’ll be

Now, in the mirror’s mist, I see,
The boy I was, the man I’ll be.
In twilight’s tender, trembling light,
A visage veiled in velvet night.

The whispers of the willow trees,
Soft sighs that stir the summer breeze,
Caress the cheeks of youthful dreams,
In moonlit meadows, silver streams.

The dawn’s embrace, a golden hue,
Awakens all that once I knew.
The dewdrops dance on petals fair,
A fragrant kiss upon the air.

In shadows deep, where secrets lie,
The echoes of a lullaby.
The stars, like sentinels, do gleam,
Guardians of each fleeting dream.

Now, in the mirror’s mist, I trace,
The lines of time upon my face.
A journey etched in every line,
The boy I was, the man divine.

With every breath, a story told,
Of days gone by, of hearts grown bold.
In nature’s symphony, I find,
The harmony of heart and mind.

So let the mirror’s mist reveal,
The truths that time cannot conceal.
For in its depths, I clearly see,
The boy I was, the man I’ll be.
