Poem -

beyond compare

A rose thou art not, nor a lily fair,
Yet in thy presence, blooms beyond compare.
Thy voice, though sweet, may falter in its tune,
Yet still it charms neath the silver moon.

Thy eyes, though bright, may sometimes lose their gleam,
Yet in their depths, I find my sweetest dream.
Thy touch, though soft, may sometimes be too light,
Yet still it soothes my soul in darkest night.

Thy laugh, though pure, may sometimes miss the mark,
Yet still it lights my way when days are dark.
Thy grace, though true, may sometimes stumble, fall,
Yet still it lifts me high above it all.

For in thy imperfections, beauty lies,
A truth that shines through all the world’s disguise.
A rose thou art not, nor a lily fair,
For thee are beyond compare.
