‘A man’s best friend?’

‘A man’s best friend?’

A man’s best friend is his dog
Or at least that’s what they say
My husband’s always telling me
He’d buy one if I went away

“Fair enough I tell him”
But can it fullfill your daily wishes?
Is it able to cleanup after you?
& can it wash your dirty dishes?

Will your mutt make your breakfast ?
What about your dinner & tea?
Coz if this is so then buy a couple
That would be a benifit for me

Or would your dog be handy
with the tidying up the house
Crikey me if this was the case
No one would ever need a female spouse

Then there’s the shopping to buy
& running the kids to school
But there’s no animal on this Earth
Can ever drive a car you fool

So until the day will ever come
When a dog can replace a wife
“Stop talking nonsense for pity’s sake
& “Don’t compare a pet to your wife”
