A NATION OF PLONKERS

A NATION OF PLONKERS

The British nation must be a nation of plonkers
Standing hours to pay for Christmas food we must be bonkers
Most people are off work for just the one day
The amount of food people buy is crazy I must say

I was thinking to myself as I waited my turn
I should have got up earlier this lesson I will never learn
The man next to me said we chose the wrong till
The lady opposite was presented with a very large bill

All I went in for was a pork pie and a bottle of squash
I paid up quickly and parted with my dosh
Next Christmas I will not follow the masses or the trend
Shopping for Christmas food drives me round the bend
