Poem -

A Plain Piece of Paper

I'm a plain piece of paper,
Resting in your warm hand,

Wondering what you will make of me

Something small, or something grand?

Will I be a little white rose

To bloom, yet never to die?

Or, a toy, a plain plaything

To amuse your friendly eye?

Or, a delicate butterfly perhaps

For everyone to say “ah!”

Or, maybe a simple aeroplane

To be thrown away quite far?

Whatever it is you do decide

To make from your imagination

I’ll always be happy in your hands –

Your loving touch is my inspiration!
