A Plea To The Poets

A Plea To The Poets

To the writing legends in the making
Don't ever give up!
Let your thoughts flow
Let the creativity oars row!
Yesterday it was Shakespeare
Tomorrow it's you
Come on poets BELIEVE in what you do!
Heal, touch, change, inspire
Don't ever let your creative gift become tired

You are the salt of the earth
The spice of life
You are peace in the midst of strife
The power of your words is undefined
And your mission no one can undermine

Let the morning bring you inspiration
May you render to the hopless an explanation

Poets you are the Pastors of literature
Divinely blessed and highly favored
Every poetic composition is your sermon
You are the repellent to life's every vermin
With your page as your pulpit
Preach your message
Open up doors to every golden passage

Keep on thinking, writing, speaking
Teachers of words keep on teaching

You are jewels in the lost caves of doubt
This is your destiny this is your route

Be the blessing He intended for you to be!

excellent work, Eden, and what a great message indeed, you spoke it all so eloquently, love this poem....I enjoy having conversations about poetry; robots and computers run the world, but they are not able to compose poetry from scratch; that I know of, lol....love your thought stream, this is good, cheers

I Debs!

So this poem was inspired by YOU. I read your poem on "the heart of a poet" and thought oh God may poets as amazing as this not stop writing, their gifts bring light, their thoughts can stop an inner fight that rages in people. I thought of Reina even I think she's our newest and youngest addition and thought someone needs to tell these great poets both seasoned and beginners to always use their talents to bless because our poems may be the difference between life and death, giving up and pressing on. So thank YOU Debs. We are the poetic extension of God.

Greg! DON'T GIVE UP PLEASE!

I get so angry when I hear how poets get put down and yet we are each unique our peices reflect our souls and the message we so desperately want to share with the world. Don't let fools hinder your purpose Greg. You, are an extension of God's poetic side as I told Debs. God needs bodies to reach the people and we just so happen to be his creative attribute of his character. Don't stop

Love
