A Poem for Christmas

The Winter wind
stirs the frost
upon the frozen field,
the Christmas tree
under the great stars aglow
lights Winter spirits
with starlit yield.
The flames dance
in the open hearth
warmth is upon
the shining cheek,
the angels sing their
heavenly choir for
open hearts to embrace
the weary and weak.
Strung together in love“s
rich gift of heart
and golden twine,
wringing the past and future
woes and gladness in ruby wine
through hands and minds,
the march of time
and the soul“s dream divine.

Hi Tina, thank you! I adore Christmas and I am very much looking forward to this Christmas, which isn“t far away I might add. How about you? Are you a Christmas person? I think it depends on what is going on in your life when it comes around, with all the emotion involved it can be difficult at times for some. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on my poem. Always appreciated. XX
