Poem -

~ A Poet's Passion ~

~ A Poet's Passion ~

It is far into a poet's passion
Through years, tears, torments and lacerations
Ripping through to hidden wounds and conflagration
Where laying in depths of puddled introspection
Swim languages and books of unwritten reflection
With piles of rejection, conjecture, and daring direction
Where the ego goes to play with a whisper's deafening silence
And shyness tortured into arrogant attempts at greatness
For it is indeed within the nuances of a poet's passion
To push creativity to the brink of insanity's attraction
As  songs come floating in on rainbows of light's refraction
And poetry becomes the only means of self-expression's voicing
Rejoicing ever-so-subtly in observations overflowing and forcing
The Poet's Pen to take truly inspired action
To take that which confronts him
And deliver it most mightily
Hand-in-hand,
With the greatest gift,
The universe has to offer,
A Poet's Passion....

It amazes me how such works of art get overlooked and this is one of them.  Truly loved it.  Expertly penned.

Wow Tony the truth you said almost everything how a poet feels we know how to express with details with wise words that out of sight is not seen that inside but broken that we are there is a pen and a blade retaliate through writing the most hidden secrets, love, passion, delirium, sadness
My dear friend the truth and honestly this is the truth and my favorite part of all is "Ripping through to hidden wounds and conflagration
Where laying in depths of puddled introspection
Swim languages and books of unwritten reflection "
love it....

Dear poet sister SILVY,
It is this kind of comment that moves mountains when it comes to the inspiration required to be at the foundation of truly moving poetry.  I am at the crossroads these days....being quite aware that comments such as these are proof positive that writers (such as yourself) are at the epicenter of my decision to continue into the most difficult areas of poetic license.  I thank you with all that I am and all that I hope to become. I am your ever-friend and admirer........T xo ❤
Ps. thank you for reading and commenting!! 🐧

Hey T....I think anyone that reads this poem should get a sense of pride and honor being a poet...to express that passion you talk about after years of learning, studying, failing, practicing, improving, gathering just what it is they want to share and say to the world.  A poet's passion is a very personal experience.  This write is a part of your journey....to be proud to write and share who you are and your unique talents to a part of the literary world to appreciate.  You deserve recognition for your dedication to this art form of words.  I respect your contributions so much.  Inspiration is at the heart of every great poet's gift to the world.  Loved this!  xo Kisses xoxx Your wife, C ;)

My Dear Tony,

The passion of a poet
Is like an artists painting brush
The depth of our emotion
From our Souls does ever rush

.
Mankind is our inherent subject
Our canvases glow ever bright
Our words portray the brushstrokes
As we give the World our true insights

Love you Bro,
Larry xxx
