Poem -

A Prayer to Every God

Precious lords of all the vastness of our souls

I do pay homage to you, one and all

And beseech, in honesty, humility

Your returning to the prayers of all the children at your feet

Men, women, children

Always children

Pay heed, great gods of fire and sky

Of earth and sea

Listen to the words of your progeny

Leave not their ache for peace and goodness

To the blackest heart of the demon of abandonment

They who name you, name you in reverence and need

And how badly they do need you

In all your countless forms and titles

I beg in earnest, lift the stagnant veil

And show yourselves in shape and action

To those who live and die

In ardent hope, despite your everlasting silence.

Hennis....you speak much like a former friend I once had on this site by the alias "Drunkenwolf"...that wouldn't happen to be you by any chance? Thank you so much, dude, I really appreciate the positive feedback! :) It appears that this site is prone to clique-formation and christian preference when it comes to subject matter, but hey, that's all good, to each his/her own. I cannot change my style and influence of my own accord when something insists on speaking through me, so I'm gonna keep bringing the darkness to this here blog site. Gonna keep trying to provoke honest thought within the reader. Your kind words have put a broad smile on my face, Hennis. Stay rad and keep the fire burning. :)
