A PRETTY NIGHT ~

Time ~ is ever watchful
Circling ~ a bird of prey
While I ~ am ever scornful

A child ~ I will not play

Time ~ squawks loud a message
Pretty feathers ~ black on white
While I ~ laugh in the moonlight
The image pretty ~ pretty night

Time ~ cries out its warning
Ever hungry ~ ever near
While I ~ play on oblivious

For only fear ~ births a tear
