A SAD LOVE STORY

Since we were children growing up on second street
I had always loved her so
And every day while going to school
Or outside playing, I would let her know
"I love you, Shanti,
I would tell her each day
and she would just laugh shyly
And turn and run away
And this continues for years
Until one day she turned around
And sat with me on a bench
On the school playground
And she told me "I'm sorry kaz
But I don't love you
You'll find someone else one day
Who loves you too"
her words left me heartbroken
And I couldn't hold back my tears
so, I stop being around her again
As the days and the months turn to years
Then when high school came along
we met in the corridor again
And we laughed about our childhood
How things were back then
then we had lunch and began to date
And we fell in love
And I finally got the girl
That I had always dreamed of
But when the time for college came
Suddenly everything changed
And we were in different colleges far apart
so our lives were rearranged
I told her that we will get through this
But she had her doubt
And my heart stopped beating
When she turns and said “It won't work out"
Then she said "I'm sorry kaz
But I have to break up with you
And You will find someone else one day
Who loves you too"
I just didn’t know what to say
As the rain started falling from above
Her words left me heartbroken
For the second time, I lost the girl I love
The colleges years came and went
And then my job and career came my way
And as I go about my life
I think of her and miss her every day
Then one day I went to gulf city mall
and in a store, we ran into each other again
we both were now in our twenties
and we talk and laughed about things back then
I ask her out to a club that night
And I took her hand and began to dance
We were so nervous in each other's arms
Remembering our old romance
then she rests her head on my shoulders
and we stood there like if nothing else exists
then we look into each other's eyes
and with butterflies in our stomach
we kiss and kiss and we kiss
then I ask her to marry me
and she became my wife
she was the only girl that I ever love
and now we were going to be together
for the rest of our life
I was the happiest man in the world
Waking next to her every morning
Making her breakfast in bed
As she wakes with her sleepy eyes, yawning
Then one night we went for a drive
Under the moonlight
And we drove down the roads
On a warm and starry night
And when “How deep is your love”
By the “Bee Gees came on
She started to sing
And I whispered to her,” Shanti
You're my everything"
But then suddenly out of nowhere
Headlights in front of us flash
screeching tires and the crashing of metals
our car crashed
When I open my eyes
I saw her laying down on the ground
I ran to her calling her name
As I felt my tears start rolling down
"Shanti. Shanti..." I cried
And as I knelt she took my hand
Kaz, kaz " I am sorry
I have to leave you again...Please understand"
NO NO NO “HELP ...HELP, HELP
No, it's going to be ok “
Just hold on ...PLEASE HURRY
As I heard the ambulance on its way
"I love you so much ‘kaz
And It has always been true
But you'll find someone else again “kaz
And you will love again too"
"No," Please ...NO ... I cried
"It's always been you
I don't want someone else
I only want to be with you"
And there in the middle of the street
On my knees, I cried
Hugging the only girl, that I ever love
As she slowly died
It’s beautiful and sunny today
As she is laid to rest with flowers on the ground
I have lost the will to live
But still, my broken heart beats on
Whenever I lose her in the past
I would always know that I would see her again
But this time it’s different
So, I’m just waiting for the god take me also
So, I could be in her arms once more
