A Second Too Long

Frozen in time as I stood to stare 
Not a sound flowing in the atmosphere because your beauty speaks of words in a dialect unknown to the world 
And as your gaze took me by surprise holding me hostage in my place 
hypnotized to the movement of every atom on your face 
And with your smile like the rivers, gushing across both your cheek bones giving life to everything around you 
A few years could have gone past and nothing would have ever moved 
So I had to, I blinked away but the view printed itself inside of me
A glimpse of perfection, for just that second, that lasted for eternity
