Still

Still

At first I was accepting every word that was said
I stood and listened as the sentenceSwam inside my earlobe
Drowning deep in my head
I watched as the air condensed on your forehead
Where the droplets of sweat would start to lie
Scrolling down your face I see it mirrored as it began to trickle under your eye
Your broken voice suffocated me inside
Encompassed every inch of my heart
The more you spoke it began to echo
As your words was tearing every connected body part
Leaving me empty
Nothing
But the dangling of my stomach gut.
All the good that you have ever done now weighs nothing more than some scattered dusThat catches under my feet
With every step I took to walk away
And just like thaThe wind blew everything
Everything we had
Astray.
