A Sinner’s Plea

Rescue me, Lord, from this sin, for the things I do, I know are wrong. Save me father from within, I’ve been fighting alone far too long.
Cleanse me in the blood of your son, wash away my shadowed past. Release me of my weighted tons, let your love through me be cast.
Allow the knowledge of you to flow, from my mouth, touching both north and south pole. Use me to allow others to grow, as one mind, body and eternal soul.
Let others look upon you as they see me, flow from within my heart. O Lord, this I plea, from your side, never let me again part.
To guide sinners out of the shadows, use my words as those of your own. With the blood laid before your son arose, as a pathway unto your throne.
Use this poem as my last sinner's plea, rescue me of my shadowed past. For with you in my heart I clearly see, judgment is approaching fast.
Thank you for your belief in this sinner, for the love you’ve always shown. Carrying me since I was a beginner, watching over me as I’ve grown.
I know Lord, from the path I may stray, and that you will be there tugging me back. Walking with me along the way, giving me the strengths I lack.
For your love included me in the plan, with all my scars. A broken and forgotten shell of a man, to come live with you amongst all of heavens stars.
Amen...
