A SONG IN THE WIND
Take me back to yesteryearÂ
When our love like innocenceÂ
Was pure and unhinderedÂ
Ignorant of mistrust and blind to fearÂ
We created a sway of motionÂ
A steady dance like the waves of the oceanÂ
Together we were strongÂ
Invincible as the light
Our love penetrated the darknessÂ
Making wrong things rightÂ
We were perfect togetherÂ
My love like petalsÂ
And you the beautiful roseÂ
But something happenedÂ
Where did our love go
Our hearts has shifted
From its foundation of trustÂ
Now all that remainsÂ
Is a sad song in the wind.
