"A Spiritual Awakening"

"The Devil has you,
in a trance,
and it's time to take,
a different stance,
to give your life,
a second chance.

Those drugs,
keep you kneeling,
keep you sobbing,
and reeling,
but you should,
be peeling,
off all the layers,
surrounding your heart,
to let God in,
to have a fresh start.

God can change,
the way we think.
Do the impossible,
when we're at our brink.
Grab hold His Hand,
or further you will sink.

Those drugs,
make you a different you.
They make you do things,
that you'd never do.
Your darker side,
takes you for a ride,
but one day,
you will both collide,
and you will have,
a spiritual awakening.
That is your soul,
almost breaking.

In that instance,
you have two choices,
to live or die.
I hope you listen,
to the angel's voices,
and grip the ground,
take heart and care.
You can side with the Devil,
if you dare,
but just know you'll only find,
misery and despair."
