Poem -
A Steady Head
A glass of wine
before bedĀ
helps me keep
a steady head.Ā
It holds the monsters
at bay
and gets me through
to the next day.Ā
I like the reds
but not too dry.Ā
Maybe in a few years
I'll give Merlot another try.Ā
I occasionallyĀ
like the sweet
but only asĀ
aĀ rare treat.Ā
I'm pretty sure the people above me
are having sex in their bed.Ā
So, I might need a few moreĀ
to keep a steady head.Ā

I've loved wine ever since the wee age of four. We went on a trip to Canada to visit my great grandparents and they all went to a vineyard and my dad would save me a little sip to drink from all the ones they tasted. i love it when I go over to my mothers friends house because they have amazing bottles of wine that are to expensive for us to ever buy!Ā
I'll drink pretty much anything but I prefer wine.Ā
I used to only drink sweet wines but as I've gotten older I enjoy the reds more. Ā
