A Stormy Night

Sharing a glass of wine by candlelight
We are about to succumb to the night
 
North wind howling through the trees
Your presence puts my soul at ease
 
The full moon is hanging low in the sky
A thousand stars dancing in your eyes
 
Your kiss brings me to my knees
The wind keeps roaring through the trees
 
Your fingertips are on fire
Quench the thirst of my desire
 
The moonlight shining on your face
I get lost in your passionate embrace
 
Now we are dancing in the sheets
Another kiss to feel complete
 
Together we meld with the body heat
So excited my racing heart skips a beat
 
This magic night has grown wings
Wait and see what else it brings
 
You take my spirit to lofty new heights
Brought your light to this stormy night
 
The storm has now begun to pass
You’re lying beside me at long last
 
What else can we expect upon this magical night?
While tomorrow remains far out of sight
 
Won’t you lay with me in the late night hours?
We can listen to the passing rain showers
 
Before I met you my whole world was shattered
And now being with you is all that matters
 
I have no expectations but I hope you’ll stay
And bless the dawning of a brand new day
