A Summer Breeze
A light summer breeze drifted through the park
Creating ripples in the pools, sticky and dark
It weaved through the houses scattered around
Their residents home, not making a sound
The breeze made clouds, nobody knew why
For they would never compare to those up high
The sky created paintings unique
A liberating change from a world so bleak
Here on the ground, where a stone man stood strong
Its head in the sand, limbs not where they belong
The breeze explored fields of roses stained red
The grass beds of gardens where lay tucked in the dead
The cries of a man for a friend that had been
Such beauty in the sky had this breeze never seen
