A Thousand Lives

A Thousand Lives

It was twilight at the end of the earth
We lie together basking in the coming moon
Our feet buried in the sand warmed by a day spent in the sun
Salty air permeates our every breathe
As melody resounds in our ears from the rhythm of waves crashing
Time ceases to move forward
Imprisoning us to passion and seducing us in the moment
Just as stars become one with the horizon
So too did we become one spirit, mind and body entwined
Creating, understanding, all together in perfect unison
Like two souls, who, through a thousand lives had passed
