Trip

Trip

Fantastic, ridiculous, crazy cravings
I lie there with my eyes glazing
giggling and laughing, my sides hurting
soon I'll experience something amazing

Was two drops too many? Walls breathing
they move in and out with no apparent reason
Look at my hands, what's my purpose for being?
going on this trip requires the right season

Tuesday or Christmas or any day you please
the journey ahead will be pleasure indeed
Enlightenment might find you through those walls
a wonderful night I shall enjoy and in need

The universe finds me colorful and in good company here
as I enter the peak of the night
Listening to the music of the Gods like Garcia and Floyd
I continue my trip through the sky like a kite

I learned many things on my travels from the wall to the sky
there is no comparison to this high
But, back to earth with banners blazing
what a wonder it is to fry

head touched down on my pillow's heart's beating
I hear it thumping in my ear constantly repeating
echoing in my brain as it lulls me toward slumber
happiness fulfilled in my mind begins retreating

wonderful colors swirl about my eyes as they shut
so relaxed my body feels bound to this bed
like melting crayons oozing on the sidewalk
I fall to deep sleep, no more to be said
