A Vampire's Kiss

He creeps silently through the night,Ā
Driven by the most wicked of needs,Ā
HisĀ skin is so pale in the moonlight,Ā
In the darkness is where heĀ feeds,Ā
With glistening fangs so razor sharp,Ā
He pierces deep into her sweetest vein,Ā
The blood pumped by herĀ mortal heart,Ā
Sweetly soothes hisĀ of immortal pain,Ā
Blood drips down from hisĀ cold lips,Ā
As herĀ warmth fills himĀ up inside,Ā
Touching herĀ cheek with death’s fingertips,
Love flows into a heart that died,Ā
A passion true but must be extinguished,Ā
For heĀ is a creature of the night,Ā
Once undead heĀ cannot be relinquished,Ā
Love dies at the hands of sunlight,Ā
He does fade away, sated bittersweet,Ā
Leaving a bite burning like hell’s fire,Ā
Brought to life only at death’s feet,Ā
So is the fatal kiss of a vampire
