A Winter's Wonderland

Squirrels jumping 

From tree to tree 

Up high above 

Living free indeed 

Hearing the water 

Gently flow down the line 

Deer scatter 

As we approach 

Scaring them 

But not intently 

In the land 

They call home 

This frozen terrain 

A lovely time 

In the months 

Before may 

Birds singing 

Some cannot 

Carry a tune 

Must be 

The brisk wind 

Disturbing their groove 

As the snow finally 

Comes to an end 

It is the changes 

Of the seasons 

A wondrous reminder 

Of God's master plan 

Giving us the knowledge 

With a loving hand 

To recognize 

We are not alone 

In His winter's wonderland
