It is a sort of, but not quite, isolation.
The kind a Plath type talks about that invokes
The illustration of cows in a paddock.

We were etching towards the sanctimonious
Needing guidance already
Luring us old petticoat stations in the rain.
I was tapping light into my real girl's own blown
   hair.
