Red field

Red field

About the pale white girl with the darkest thoughts
The ones I thought I would never cross
The girl with the softest raven hair
At which I couldn't ever help but stare

We laid, drowned in love,
on that fragile field colored of blood
You'd tell me about your obscure universes
not knowing I'd remember them in my verses

I never thought it would end so soon
But there was only so much your heart could stretch
You spent your time searching for the MoonΒ
but chasing Yourself would push you to the edge

Now I wake up to that same nightmare and weep
It's haunting and torturing me in my sleep
That frail red painted fieldΒ
tear washed whilst your heart peeled

You looked at me through the wind's blow
dressed in green as your eyes glow
Whispered to me in a tone so delicate:
"How close to the stars could we ever get?"
And so you ran into the nightΒ  hoping to catch a sun
As I pleaded with the wind for your return.Β
