Absent Friends

I notice there are
red berries
on the trees again
this autumn
and in such great
abundance ..
But no wax-wings
to cull them
nor any squirrels,
bullfinches,
or other rodents ..
Last winter,
was hard on them
too my love ..

We have a bush with red berries. It blooms beautifully each springtime. Nice Verse.

“It was hard on them too…”
you are missing your loved one and your friends who have
departed. There is a soft beauty blending nature with your feeling, Neville.

Being Me

There's lots of berries on the Holly round here. I've never seen a wax wing in the feathers, only in pictures, they look beautiful. Less bunnies ... a lot less bunnies. Less squirrels. Less sparrows.... so few butterflies and bees too in the summer.

I'm sorry your heart is crying for a loved one. Sending love and hugs to you xx
